Jello Plans

Well, as we often say in this lifestyle, our plans are made in jello. Our trip to Houston, was not to happen. Just as we were heading out the door early Thursday morning, we got a call that Houston airport was going to close around 3:30pm. Well, our flight out of San Diego was not due to arrive in Houston until 4;30pm. So after a call, it was confirmed our flight was cancelled. Since we fly standby, we know our chances of getting out in the next few days were zilch!  Kevin will not get to see his dentist, after waiting 6 months for the appointment. Guess he will be headed over to Mexico along with me for dental work.

We are upset not to spend some time with the kids and grandkids, but we will have to arrange another visit. We have lots to do here. Kevin and I headed back to the casino and had a nice breakfast and deposited a small amount.   We played cards both Thursday and Friday night with our friends and had lots of good food and alot of laughs.. I headed to the flea market with Mac & Netters and Donnie & Karen, while Kevin was off doing his thing, waxing!

One task I had hoped to get accomplished while back in Texas, was a much needed appointment to have my hair done. So that was on the agenda for Saturday. I had an afternoon appointment with a local salon. She did a pretty good job. I feel so much better now.

Today we are preparing for our Super Bowl Party.. It also happens to be my birthday.  Kevin surprised me with my favorite flowers. Yellow Roses!!  And also the most awesome birthday card about being on the road.  I now get to use my collapsible vase.. A little small for these flowers, but will do.. It is cool though and takes up no space and will not break.. Lynette, Karen and I, picked them up at a flea market.
