Thursday we decided to go casino hopping. The first one was a good one. If you sign up for their players card, they give you $50 of slot play once you have played $20 of your own. Now, that’s a good deal. We played for quite some time, but of course didn’t come out ahead. Then next casino, didn’t have much to offer, but we did buy the buffet lunch and played a bit.
The temperatures have gone upwards and we hit triple digits. Don’t like it.. I went up to the pool to cool off late afternoon.
Friday… we headed out early. First stop was to buy The Solution. The dry cleaner that Kevin has become addicted to, thanks to Mark Hall…I actually love using it myself now. It’s great for the counters and windows..
Next stop was the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. We drove to the base station which is at an elevation of 2,643 and purchased our tickets and boarded the worlds largest rotating tram. The ride only takes 10 minutes to take you to the top, at an elevation of 8,516 ft and the San Jacinto Mountains. Very beautiful..
The road to the base…
Tram Boarding…
Going up….
Snow at the top…
Looking down at Palm Springs and surrounding towns..
A view of the tram…
The snow is melting…..
It was a great adventure and glad we did it… Temps on top of the mountain where a nice 62!!
We stopped to pick up some sandwiches and headed home just in time to watch the opening day of Red Sox baseball. They lost….but that is okay, we are expecting big things from them this year.
It was still very warm and I couldn’t seem to cool down so off I went for a nice evening dip in the pool. I met several people and we chatted for quite some time, as we floated. Nice night..
